Institute for Plasma Research is located on the banks of the Sabarmati river near the Indira Bridge in village Bhat ( Gandhinagar district). It is approximately midway between the cities of Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar. It can easily be reached from Ahmadabad, being about 5 Kms from the Ahmedabad airport, and 14 Kms from the Ahmedabad railway station. Private taxis and autorickshaws can be hired at the airport and railway station to reach the Institute. Two other well known landmarks close to the Institute, are the Mother Dairy and the Kanoria Hospital.
