6 ^th General Scientific Assembly of the Asia Plasma and Fusion Association

Welcome to the 6^th General Scientific Assembly of the APFA

( Registration Date extended to Nov 16, 2007 !! )

APFA 2007, the 6^th General Scientific Assembly of the Asia Plasma and Fusion Association (APFA 2007) will be hosted by Institute for Plasma Research (IPR) from 3-5 December 2007. The conference will be just followed by the annual meeting of the Plasma Science Society of India (PSSI) to be held between Dec 6-10 and the Asia-Pacific Plasma Theory Conference(APPTC) just after that between 11-13 Dec, all three conferences being hosted by IPR this year.

The APFA 2007 will cover a broad range of topics in plasma and fusion sciences, with particular focus on the latest trends in research and development activities in these areas in the Asian countries. It would cover the following :

Fusion Technology

ITER & New Devices (Physics & Engineering)

Magnetic and Inertial Confinement

Steady State Operation of Fusion Devices

Basic Plasma Science (including Laser Plasmas)

Space and Astronomical Plasmas

Industrial Applications of Plasma Technology
