  • CONFERENCE VENUE : Goa,India. Conference will be organized on an exclusive beach resort on the Arabian sea.

    CONFERENCE SPONSORED BY:
    The conference is self financed. However, requests have been made to various national and international agencies for financial assistance to support young researchers from developing countries.

    CONFERENCE REGISTRATION FEE:
    Euro 330 (if paid on or before Oct.15, 2004) and Euro 380 late registration. Conference registration fee includes registration, book of abstracts, conference material, welcome party and banquet.

    LIVING EXPENSES AT THE CONFERENCE SITE:
    February being a peak tourist season in Goa, accommodation requirement has to be confirmed well in advance. An economical and decent package is being negotiated on a beach resort for Euro 600 per person for single occupancy. This includes airport transport, accommodation (6 nights), lunch, dinner at the conference venue (from Feb. 20th dinner – 26th Feb. Lunch), excursion and evening special cultural programs. Accommodation at the conference site is limited. You are requested to remit the living expenses along with the registration fee to secure a proper accommodation at the conference site.
    Participants are welcome to make own living arrangements of their choice if they opt to stay outside the conference venue and inform the conference secretary accordingly.

    ACCOMPANYING MEMBERS: (Sharing the room with the delegates)
    Euro 450 per person includes welcome party, banquet, excursion, evening special cultural programs, accommodation and meals at the conference site (from Feb. 20th dinner - 26th Feb. Lunch). Special sight seeing programme can also be arranged by the authorized travel agents on payment basis.

    CANCELLATION CHARGES:
    Due to unavoidable circumstances if you have to cancel your participation before 15th Jan. 2005, full amount (reg.+living) will be refunded. However, bank transfer charges will be deducted from the refunding amount. Cancellation till 19th Feb. will cost 1 day hotel charge (100 Euro) and bank transfer charges.

    FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE:
    Conference funds are limited. However, partial travel grants and living expenses to a few deserving young participants (below 35 years) from the developing countries may be provided. For such grant, aspirants may apply to Tara Desai on e-mail: e-mail or
    e-mail and cc to the Secretary, e-mail on/before Oct. 30, 2004. Young researchers must include a recommendation letter from their guide.

    VISA TO INDIA:
    Visa is required by all the foreign nationals to visit India. Invitation letters are being dispatched to enable the delegates to obtain visa. However, the delegates from developed countries can opt for tourist visa.

    LANDING IN GOA:
    Goa is well connected with all the major cities of India by air, rail and road.
    Air: Goa's international airport is Dabolim.
    Rail: Goa's two main stations are at Margao and Vasco da Gama.
    Road: Goa is well connected by National Highway, NH17A. There are regular bus services to many major cities from Goa.
