Main Objective

Non inductive current drive for steady state operation of SST-1

Current Activities

High power testing of microwave components
Coupling of LHCD system to ADITYA tokamak.
Mock-up installation of SST1 LHCD system.

Special Equipments

2 nos. of TH2103D klystron, each rated for 500 kW, CW operation at 3.7 GHz.
Associated microwave accessories, cooling, DAC and HVDC power supply systems for operation.
DAC configured around Versa Modulo Europa (VME)for longpulse data acquisition.


Major achievements of the group

High power operation of klystron into water dummy load for more than 1000 seconds.
