1. How
can I access Library documents?
A. To access library documents
you need to become a member. You are required to fill up the membership
card and submit to
library.
2. What
is the Library Timing?
A. Library is open Monday
through Friday from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm and on Saturday from 10:30 am to
5:30 pm. It is also open on
public
holidays depending on availability of Transport and Cafeteria facilities
3. How
do I search documents?
A.You can search library
documents through Web-based Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) which
is accessible from any
computer
within LAN. OPAC Url is http://192.168.202.143
You can also
approach Library counter for any help.
4. How
can I issue a Library Document?
A.Once you are a member
you can issue any issueable library document. Reference
and Handbooks are not issued.

5. Can
I get Photocopies of Documents?
A. A member can get photocopies
of documents by filling up the request form available near counter and
getting authorised
signature,
for example for TTP Students, signature of Academic Committee member is
required.
Photocopies
from Books are not allowed.
6. How
can I find a Book?
A. Library follows Universal
Decimal Classification Scheme for classifying Books. Each Book is classified
according to its subject
content.
The Books are arranged on shelves according to these classification no.
Shelf
guides are provided to easily locate a
particular
document. For Example: Plasma Physics books are classified under 533.9

& Classified Index
7. Can
I use Library Computers?
A. There are certain computers
available in library for users. You can use these PCs to Search Online
Catalogue, E-Journals,
Academic Websites, Project related searches, etc. Any
Personal use of these Computers are strictly prohibited.
8. How
can I use electronic resources?
A. Please visit library
website http://www.ipr.res.in/~saroj/LIBRARY.html
which links to all the subscribed e-resources.
Please note
that Systematic Downloading from any Subscribed resources
is not Pemitted.
9. What,
if I do not find a particular document?
A. If the doucment
you are searching is not available in IPR Library, please fill-in the Inter
Library Loan form, Library will look for
the document availability in local libraries and other libraries like IITs,
IISc, BARC, TIFR, RRCAT, etc. Please note that if
the
document is not available in local libraries
(PRL, SAC, etc.) it may take some time (10-15
days) to get the document from other
libraries.
