About DAE SOHPM 2025

The 41st DAE Safety & Occupational Health Professional Meet (DAE-SOHPM) will be conducted at Institute For Plasma Research (IPR), Gandhinagar from December 17-19, 2025. The Meet is being jointly organized by IPR & AERB.

  • Dr.S.S.Ramaswamy Memorial Endowment Lecture on the theme of this Meet will be delivered by an eminent speaker.
  • Invited talks will be delivered by experts & contributory papers will be presented from delegates related to the Theme of the Meet i.e. Recent Trends in Occupational Safety and Health Management.
  • An exhibition of products by the suppliers and manufacturers of the personal protective equipment (PPE), safety appliances and medical services is also planned.
  • Few Presentations are also planned by reputed & leading contractors and exhibitors in Field of Safety & Occupational health displaying their latest advanced products.

About IPR

Institute for Plasma Research (IPR) was established in 1986 as an autonomous institute under the Department of Science and Technology (DST) with a mandate to pursue research in Plasma Science and technology. The institute grew rapidly and came under the administrative umbrella of the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) in 1995. Over the years, IPR has developed competence in advanced fields like Theoretical Plasma Physics, Computer Modeling and Simulation, Superconducting magnets and Cryogenics, Ultra High Vacuum technologies, sophisticated Plasma Diagnostic systems, RF and Neutral Beam Heating systems, High Voltage Engineering systems, Pulsed Power systems, Computer based Data Acquisition and Control systems besides, Industrial, Environmental and strategic plasma applications. FCIPT, ITER-India and CPP-IPR, located in Gandhinagar and Guwahati are three divisions under IPR.

The papers should be written in the format enclosed herewith.

It has been decided to upload the contributory papers on the web page dedicated for Meet on SOHPM 2025, IPR web site. The web page will be active for a month from the last date of the Meet. For More details please visit SOHPM 2025, IPR website.

It is requested to give wide publicity to this invitation in your unit and encourage personnel for participation. It is requested to send the soft copies of full text of the papers by email on or before November 5, 2025.

Nominations

Nominations are invited from all DAE units and aided institutions. All Unit heads are requested to nominate at least three participants* comprising of:

  • One person from safety division of the unit
  • One person from occupational health division of the unit
  • One person from O&M / Construction staff

* Note: Bigger DAE Units may send more number of nominations as deemed appropriate.

DAE Safety and Health Professionals must avail this unique opportunity for information sharing and thereby ensure improvement in Industrial Safety and Occupational Health scenarios in the DAE installations and make this meet a grand success to achieve the goal.

"Recent Trends in Occupational Safety and Health Management"

Poster & Slogan Competitions (Guidelines)

As a part of the meet following safety competitions (Poster & Slogan) on the theme of the meet are being conducted for the employees of all DAE units. Entries should be original one.

1. Poster Competition

  • Poster should be drawn based on the theme, on normal chart paper of size A2 (420mm * 594mm).
  • The poster should be original and should be drawn with either coloured one or pencil sketch.
  • The caption/title (if any) in the poster should not be more than 10 words.

2. Slogan Competition

  • Slogan should be a phrase or a combination of words with rhyme (original phrase) based on the theme.
  • Slogan must have educational or motivational potential.
  • Number of words should not exceed TWENTY.
  • Should be written in HINDI, GUJARATI or ENGLISH Languages. (Each participant can submit only one slogan per language)

Notes New

  • All DAE units are requested to send their three best entries in each competition through the Head of the unit or through their authorized representative. Entries should be sent by email to dsohpm2025@ipr.res.in
  • Prizes will be awarded to best three entries in each category of above mentioned competitions.
  • Consolation prizes may also be awarded for each category depending upon the quality of entries received.
  • Decision of evaluation committee will be final. No queries in this regard will be entertained.
  • All entries should be submitted in PDF /JPEG/PNG (600-1200 dpi).
  • Last date for receipt of entries: November 5, 2025.
