1. Steady State Tokamak-1
SST-1 experimental data visualization tools for scientific studies developed on Matlab and Python platforms. These tools are featured with selective data filtering, targeted comparison and support standard mathematic functions.
2. Distributed Control System of Large Scale Cryogenics Plant and Cryo-Systems
This experiment demonstrates the successful commissioning and integration of an indigenously developed cryogenic plant test facility with a cooling capacity of 200 W at 4.5 K. The facility utilizes an in-house data acquisition and control system built on a Siemens S7-300 PLC within an EPICS framework. By implementing Modbus and HART interfaces at the instrument level, the system establishes a uniform platform for seamlessly integrating the compressor station, cold box, and turbine operations.
3. Small Scale Spherical Tokamak-1
Central Control System for SS-ST is based on EPICS frameworks. All the plant system interfaces viz. power supplies, vacuum and gas feed, RF system, coil temperature monitoring, etc. are developed using EPICS.
4. Inverse Mirror Experimental Plasma Device
Is a linear device capable of producing steady-state multi-filamentary plasma. The IMPED operation necessitates synchronized operation of various subsystems such as multiple DC power supplies, vacuum and gas feeds, water cooling and temperature monitoring, different probe diagnostics mounted on multiple probe drive systems, signal conditioning electronics, data acquisition and storage system. To meet the above requirement, a modular and integrated experimental control system is developed to streamline and enhance the efficiency of conducting experiments by integrating all the above heterogeneous subsystems into a cohesive user-friendly platform.
5. Data Acquisition System for Electromagnetic Launcher
Designed, developed, and integrated a robust Data Acquisition System (DAS) for the 8 kN EML. The system is capable of handling over 150 field signals, including optical, voltage, current, and temperature sensors, with diverse acquisition rates. The system features a modular and scalable architecture, ingress-protected junction boxes and DAS hardware, and a ruggedized design suitable for harsh field deployment. It also supports high-speed interlock operations with response times in the sub-millisecond range.
