EDAS is working in providing the mechanical engineering services for different sections/divisions across IPR including supporting Ph.D. students. This section receives tasks for conceptual and mechanical design, CFD analysis and ANSYS analysis (Thermal and Structural) from users time to time. Then, kick-off meetings are conducted to understand the task and required design/analysis/reports would be carried and are submitted to the users section for the approval. This section also generates technical specifications for the procurement of the same.

• Design of Mechanical systems, Design optimization and validation by thermo-mechanical analysis using simulation tool (ANSYS) on engineering solutions related to thermal analysis, modal analysis and structural analysis.
• Preparation of design calculations and technical reports.
• Preparation of technical specifications, tender documents and Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Inspection of fabricated components and assemblies during Pre-dispatch inspection (PDI).
• Preparation of QA/QC specifications for mechanical systems.
• Ensuring the design of Mechanical systems/pressure vessels/vacuum systems adheres to all applicable ASME codes and safety standards.
• Collaboration with scientists for interdisciplinary projects.
