Proceedings



The proceedings of the 9th NIBS Symposium will be published in Journal of Instrumentation (JINST) Proceedings .

Authors may choose to publish their contribution: 1) on an open access basis: this option may be obtained either by paying an Article Processing Charge (as described at the following link: https://iopscience.iop.org/journal/1748-0221/page/publication-charges)or at no cost for the authors in the cases regulated by the new Transformative Agreements between our publishers and a number of institutions (please check the list here:


where papers may be eligible if their corresponding author is affiliated to those institutes.
Otherwise, readers can choose to publish at no cost for them by the subscription option (i.e.: NOT Open access, but available to readers as long as they subscribe to the journal (most main institutes are already subscribers).
Kindly note that it is suggested that the paper length remains within 8 pages, including the title page.

When writing your contribution, in addition to the scientific quality and relevance of the subject matter, it is advisable also to check the quality of formatting, language and style (i.e. incoherent use of unit of measure; different conventions used in the same paper such as abbreviations \3 s", \3 sec", \3 seconds" and position: \3C", \3 C"; poorly organized tables; etc.)

When your contribution is ready for submission, please follow the instructions below:
1. Connect to http://jinst.sissa.it and register;
2. in the   “Submit” section of the page select the link “submit a proceedings contribution” (see
attached screenshot 1);
3. select the NIBS2024 conference from the list;
4. follow the step-by-step procedure for submission, referring to the instructions available in the
section “For Authors” at the top of the JINST home page

The submissions will be open from 10th Nov 2024. Kindly make sure you submit your contribution latest by 20 December 2024.
