Here are some of the frequently asked questions regarding webinars conducted by IPR Outreach Division

Q. What types of webinars are organized ?  
A. IPR Outreach organizes webinars related to introduction to plasma and its applications. Two main types of  webinars are organized (A) 2 hour short webinar - mainly for high school students (B) 4 hour long webinar - mainly for teachers, graduate and masters students.

Q. Who can attend these webinars ?  
A. Anyone who is interested in knowing more about the topic can attend. For individual participants, we have a 4 hour webinar which anyone interested can attend, For high school science students (Classes 10-12) we have a 2-hour webinar and for science teachers, graduate and masters students, we have a 4 hour webinar, which can be conducted in 2 sesions in a day or over 2 days.  Prior registration is compulsory to attend any of the webinars.

Q. What will be the contents of the webinar ?  
A. The short webinar will have a 40 minute talk which introduces the field of plasma and its applications. The long webinar will have 3 talks of 30mins each on (a) What is plasma (b) What is fusion (c) Applications of plasma (d) Oppertunities in plasma science & technology. Both these webinars will also have interactive working exhibits showing generation of different kinds of plasma and their properties, applications of plasma. There will also be a 30 min Question &  Answer session at the end of the webinar where participants can interact with scientists from IPR and ask their questions.

Q. Does one have to pay a fee to attend the webinar ?  
A. NO. IPR does not charge any fee for attending the webinar.

Q. Does one need to have any prior knowledge of the subject of Plasma to attend the webinar ?  
A. NO. Prior knowledge of the subject (Plasma) is not required for attending the webinar.

Q. What will be the language medium of the webinars ?  
A. The webinars will be mostly in English.  While the presentations will be in English, explanatins and questions can be in English/Hindi/Gujarati as required.

Q. Is there a limit on the number of participants in a webinar ?  
A. Ideally we would like to limit the number of participants to between 25 and 70 per session.  Please inform in advance if there will be more participants.

Q. Can we ask questions during the webinar talk/experiments ?  
A. It is better that you write down your questions and ask them during the Q/A session at the end of teh programme.

Q. Will participants get a certificate for attending the webinar ?  
A. Yes. Participants who attended the full webinar will be provided with an e-certicificate after the event.
