Gattu Ramesh Babu

Mr. Gattu Ramesh Babu was a Gold Medalist in M.Sc., Physics from Osmania University, Hyderabad in 1998 with specialization in Electronics. In 1999, he joined Institute for Plasma Research, Gandhinagar as a Scientist.

He worked with temperature data acquisition system of plasma facing components and vacuum vessel of SST-1 and have experience in vacuum baking and packing systems, helium leak testing, outgassing experiments, temperature sensor and related equipment calibration, scanners and data loggers, SCADA based RS 584 computer data acquisition development, 3-axis Hall sensors based magnetic field mapping of ADITYA, photogrammetry based metrology using commercial DSLRs, electromagnet field code development in Python. He is currently with Outreach Division and is involved in scientific and outreach activities of the division.

His other interests are in MS Excel macros, Savings and Income-tax guidance, conducting quiz programs in English and Hindi for various occasions, active participation in Extra-curricular activities and is also an ultra-marathoner.

He joined the IPR Outreach group in December 2021.
