IPR Academic Visits - March 2026


As a part of Outreach Activities of IPR, local schools and colleges as well as other outstation educational institutions are invited to visit IPR, FCIPT and its R&D facilities.

  Shree Sahajanand Gurukul, Koteswar
35 students and 4 faculty members of class 9th and 11th of Shree Sahajanand Gurukul Madhyamik Shala, Koteswar, Gandhinagar visited IPR on 9th March 2026. Mr. Gattu Rameshbabu delivered the introductory talk to these students and faculty about Basics of Plasma, Fusion, Tokamak and Other applications of Plasma at school. Later, these visitors were brought to IPR and plasma based exibits at Outreach Hall were demonstrated by Outreach division members. Finally the visitors were briefed about  SST1 tokamak  by  Mr. Gattu Ramesh in the tokamak hall.After the program, the students were dropped off at the school in IPR buses.

  Gujarat Vidyapith, Ahmedabad
52 students and 2 faculty members of I year B.Sc. Science, Gujarat Vidyapith, Ahmedabad visited IPR on 10th March 2026. Mr. Manu Bajpai delivered the introductory talk to these students and faculty about Basics of Plasma, Fusion, Tokamak and Other applications of Plasma.. Later, plasma based exibits at Outreach Hall were demonstrated by Outreach division members. Finally the visitors were briefed about  SST1 tokamak  by  Mr. Gattu Ramesh in the tokamak hall.

  Vishwakarma Government Engineering College, Chandkheda
100 students with 2 faculty members of B.E. IV sem., Mechanical Engineering Department, Vishwakarma Govt. Engineering College, Chandhkeda visited IPR on 13th March 2026. Mr. Gattu Ramesh Babu delivered the introductory talk to these students and faculty about Basics of Plasma, Fusion, Tokamak and Other applications of Plasma.. Later, plasma based exibits at Outreach Hall were demonstrated by Outreach division members. Finally the visitors were briefed about  SST1 tokamak in the tokamak hall.

23 students and 7 teachers from class 7 to 9 of IndoScience, Pune visited IPR on 16th March 2026. Mr. Gattu Ramesh Babu introduced visitors Plasma, tokamak and societal benefits of plasma. ORDians demonstrated plasma based exhibits to the visitors followed by SST1 tokamak lab visit.

  Sigma University, Vadodara
95 students and 7 faculty members of II, IV, VI, VIII sem. of B.Tech., Chemical Engn., Sigma University, Vadodara visited IPR on 17th March 2026. Mr. Gattu Ramesh Babu introduced visitors Plasma, tokamak and societal benefits of plasma. ORDians demonstrated plasma based exhibits to the visitors followed by SST1 tokamak lab visit.

  Adani University, Ahmedabad
63 students and 1 faculty visited IPR main campus during morning session and 74 students and 1 faculty member visited FCIPT campus during afternoon session on 24th March 2026. Mr. Gattu Ramesh Babu introduced visitors Plasma, tokamak and societal benefits of plasma. ORDians demonstrated plasma based exhibits to the visitors followed by SST1 tokamak lab visit. Dr. Mukesh Ranjan guided the visitors during FCIPT academic visit.

101 students with 4 faculty members of M.Sc. Physics, Department of Physics, The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara visited IPR on 26th March 2026.
