IPR Outreach Activities Related to 70 Years of DAE

Under the DAE Platinum Jubilee celebrations, IPR plans to invites local schools and colleges as well as other outstation educational institutions to visit IPR and its R&D facilities.

  YUVIKA 2024
Student participants of ISRO’s YUVIKA (YUva VIgyani KAryakram (Young Scientist Programme) program visited IPR on 20th May, 2024. These 50 students, picked from the western states of India, get to spend a few weeks at ISRO centers. At IPR, YUVIKA students were given an introductory lecture on plasma by Dr. A V Ravi Kumar and then they were shown various exhibits on plasma by the Outreach team. They were also taken to visit both Aditya and SST-1 tokamaks.

  Advanced Physics Program, St. Xavier's College, Ahmedabad
Student participants of St. Xavier's college's, Ahmedabad Advanced Physics Program visited IPR on 27th May, 2024 Forenoon. These 35 students were given an introductory lecture on plasma By Mr. Chetan Jariwala and then they were shown various exhibits on plasma by the Outreach team. They were also taken to visit both Technology Park and SST-1 tokamak.

  Summer School Program-2024 (SSP24), IPR
Student participants of IPR's SSP24 (Summer School Program-2024) program visited IPR on 27h May, 2024 Afternoon. These 44 students, picked from all over India, get to spend a few weeks at IPR's campuses. At this SSP students' visit, they were given an introductory lecture on plasma by Mr. Chetan Jariwala and information about career options at IPR by Mr. Narendra L Chauhan. Then, they were shown various exhibits on plasma by the Outreach team.
