Nitriding

This working model shows the concept of how plasma can be used to harden the surface of iron and steel components and to decrease wear & tear and hence extend the lifetime of the component. Nitriding increases the surface hardness of steel and iron by 300%. It is a very environmentally friendly process used extensively by the industry.
